Custom Punk Rock

Here is a custom Zombie teddy bear for Jakob who is 5 years old. He told me he wanted him to wear a shirt, blue and yellow. And that he needed a mohawk just like him. Of course he wouldn't be complete without a skull on his shirt!
I sure hope he likes it, because I think it's my favorite thing I have made :)

OH and he is standing in front of my new luggage, made by Dickies. I got it at "Spencer's" in the mall.
It was originally 59.99.. I GOT IT FOR 15.99....AWESOME!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDERSON

It's a little belated but happy bday anyway! 29....WOW

Weddings

I found this picture from EMS. It was from Eric and Becca's wedding. I LOVE it because we don't have ANY pictures like this. Every picture is..pose, smile..cheese. Borrrring. It's nice to have a picture taken that you aren't really paying attention too, and have it come out nice. :) YEAH

Lil Guy

His name is lil guy. I tried to make him have teeth, but it didn't look right. I have to really try to make things that aren't so girly. So this is my attempt at a toy for a little boy.

Back to basics

So I have to start my patterns from scratch because of my computer hard drive failing a few weeks ago. I have been dreading it because it gets a bit boring, but I updated my Owl pattern, It is now the Owl Family Pattern. With Mama Owl (above) and Daddy and babies. I am also taking more time on the actual pattern layout, to make it more attractive looking....
AND I have to announce I have recieved my FIRST custom order (that's not from friends) It is for an alligator, and I am so excited. I am already about half way done, and he is so cute. It is one of the biggest things I have made so far. I am so excited about finishing it that I can't stop crocheting. My hand actually started to get sore :)

Weekend in NYC (Sunday)

Sunday we were woken up around 8am or so by the housekeeper vacuuming outside our door. Sarah quickly got up to ask her nicely to stop. She did, but the damage was done. Neither of us could fall back asleep, which sucked since we didn't go to sleep til around 4am. It was still great because we got to chit chat all morning.

Here is the floor. Isn't it such a great picture? I really dont know why I like it. But I do.

And of course the picture in the mirror. duh

Here is a picture I had to take while crossing the street. It's Shepard Fairey. My FAVORITE artist EVER. You can tell from just walking into my house. I think my husband almost died a few years ago when he saw I had bought a limited edition print for 400 bucks. But I love love love it.

So we made our way to brunch with Grez and Claire..The soon to be husband and wife :) What a cute place to have brunch. I loved the environment, and of course I loved the food too. I never had a mexican brunch before. I had (pic below) crab cake benedict. And I guess it really made an impression on me because I actually remember what it was. And you can also see, I ordered my first bloody mary. I always wanted to try it because it was my mom's drink on the weekends, I will never forget when we went on vacation in our younger years and my mom always drank these in the mornings. I never knew why she started drinking so early...now I know why. Someone told me it helps with hangovers. I took one sip of my bloody mary, and I felt it in my stomach for like 15 minutes. So I ate some of the celery instead and gave up on it. I just can't handle that stuff. Next time I will order a mimosa.

Then we walked around and went shopping. We went to this toy store Sarah kept talking about called "Toy Tokyo" It was AWESOME! I loved it and spent a bunch of money there. They have great prices too. I bought a big "gloomy" bear for Regan there for 15 bucks...After I already bought a "gloomy" bear a LOT smaller at another place for the same price :( But I had to buy this one becasue it was green plaid..OK maybe I really bought it for myself.

I walked in this place because it looked familiar. I have to be right on this..This has to be the same EXACT store they used to have in NEW HOPE, PA. Because I used to go there all the time growing up when we were sick of South street. I mean, it was layed out exactly the same, with the same vibe and everything. I would have asked someone but I was way too busy looking at stuff. I would have bought some of it, if I didn't already spend all my money at the toy store.

DUH mirror shot again, at the tattoo shop Claire works at called "Fun City"

Hungry again..this time tator tots. yum. yes, it's called "Eat Me"(oh, we came here after eating ice cream and fudge..wow talk about a vacation)

after eating we walked around the park and looked at the doggies in the dog park. soo cute. and then sat and relaxed until we had to take a cab back to the hotel.

We made it back to the hotel and picked up our luggage and headed for the train to go home. I had such a great time. It was also my first night away from baby..well 2 year old, Shes still a baby to me. Doug did well by himself, despite turning his back for a second and turning back around only to see Regan trying to paint her own toe nails on the carpet, while the BLACK nailpolish is oozing out of the bottle onto the brand new tan carpet. opps. Life happens, there is nothing else to do but laugh at it. ;)

Weekend in NYC (Saturday)

This weekend I went up to New York City for my friend Claire's Bachlorette party. My friend Sarah drove down to my house and we took the train to Trenton, and transfered to make our way to Penn Station. This pic is us on the train :) cheeese

We stayed at the "Hotel Pennsylvania" which is across the street from Penn station. This pic was my famous "self portrait through the mirror of the hotel" photograph. For some reason I do it in every hotel I stay at. I really don't know why. But I like it.

When we got into the city, the first thing we wanted to do was have lunch. So we cabbed it down to a "hip" area....'I forget what its called, of course. That's why I have to take pictures of everything, cause it's the only way I can remember ANYTHING! It is really sad, but I was dropped and fell too many times on my head. :( anyway, we walked around and I noticed a place we ate at before for my other friends Sue's bachlorette party. Zen palette was for lunch.

First we shared an order of steamed dumplings. YUMMY!

Then we shared an entree, and of course, because I didn't write it down, I cant remember what we got. I told Sarah to pick it out because I knew no matter what we got, it would taste awesome. And this dish did not let me down. I am so glad I don't live in NYC cause I would eat out every single meal.

After a perfect lunch, we alked around and did a little shopping...well we basically spent like 45 minutes in one clothing store called Zara, which it was my first time. I actually bought 2 shirts, which I will probably bring to Martha's Vineyard for the wedding.
We made our way back to the hotel to get ready for the bachlorette dinner, and party. I was so excited to get in cabs cause I really wanted to be on that show "Cash Cab" that airs on the discovery channel. No such luck though. It is probly better off anyway because Doug said I wouldn't know any answers.HAHA He is totally right. So there are no pictures of the party because I didn't bring my camera. I didn't want to get it stolen or get beer poured on it. We did bring Sarah's little point and shoot though, and got some great pics. I can't believe I was out til 3:30 AM, and it didn't even feel like it til the next morning when I was in pain from walking around so much in wedge heels.
The theme for the night was..."It's just around the corner" But after the third bar, I finally realized, it wasn't around the corner. It was still a great time with GREAT friends. I LOVE them.
(Sunday pics I will post tomorrow, or the next day:)
(Is anyone reading this anyway??)

The 4th

I know I am a little behind, but I will do my best to catch up from last week. I have been really busy and I went away for my friend Claire's Bachlorette party in NYC. (pics will come in a bit!)

We didn't do too much, just a little party with our friends at the house. Regan and Doug lit a few sparklers. The night ended kinda early,as people went home to relax, and tried to stay out of the rain that came rolling in.

Do I smell?

Regan, my sister and I went to the Camden Childrens Gardens the other day and I took this picture. I didn't know at the time what Regan was doing. But when I saw the picture, I almost died laughing. She is the cutest little thing ever..EVER!
And then the picture of her smiling is on the carosel..how do you spell that? anyway, the first time she rode on the kitty, and the second time she rode on the bunny. She probably would have ridden on it a million times, except I almost got sick, I don't do to well with rides. I have motion sickness.

Paper tree

I know this isnt called a paper tree, but we used to have one by our front door growing up, and thats what me and my sister called it. We used to climb it, sit in it, and draw on the "paper". And most of all we loved to peeeeeel it. Then my mom had to tear it down because the roots were getting too big. This was the first time I have actually seen another one! I still love it :)

Pretty Pretty

My pretty Zinnias started blooming, and they are so pretty. And the day before Doug came home, my Hibiscus tree had 7 blooms in 1 day! I never would have thought to take a picture while it was raining out, but I am so glad I did. I noticed the hibiscus tree blooms, and the next day the bloom falls off. It constantly blooms, but only a few at a time. So when I had 7 blooming flowers at the same time, I was so excited! I love waking up in the morning, start making coffee, letting the dogs out the back door, and seeing all the beautiful colors. It is so amazing. It makes me really hate winter now. :(
Today I was mowing the lawn, and Regan was eating some goldfish crackers. I took a break to get some water and Regan started saying "come here butterfy, come here butterfy." And I didn't know why she was saying that,s o I started playing along. Then I started watering the flowers on the deck, and I see...A Beautiful Butterfly! And I actually had enough time to grab my camera and take a picture before it flew away. We have gotten alot of all white butterflies since I planted flowers, but this one was an absolute treat. How amazing.:)
